Administrative Professionals Day, also known as Secretaries Day, is celebrated yearly on the Wednesday during Administrative Professionals Week, the last full week of April. This year, Administrative Professionals Week is April 23 to 29. The International Association of Administrative Professionals started the celebration of Secretaries Day in the 1950s. The purpose of this celebration was to provide recognition for hardworking secretaries and also to attract the younger generation towards secretarial jobs. Currently, Administrative Professionals Week has become one of the largest workplace observances. It is observed throughout the world, bringing together a massive amount of people for a variety of events ranging from social dinners and educational conference to bosses recognising their dedicated staff with credits of recognition.
